How the Game Works

Read this first. It explains the words that the other guides use.

This page explains the parts of the game that every other guide uses. Read it once. The scene guides then only say "needs Possession II" or "needs a Sanity Value of 600 or less", and you can look the words up here.

The flag numbers in italics (for example, var #1121) are the internal game flags. You do not need them to play. They are listed so the route can be verified and so advanced readers can cross-check it.

The idea

You play Shizuku Ichinose, a shrine maiden. A town has many men who want her. Most scenes are not free. A man only offers his scene when Shizuku is in the right status and has a low enough Sanity Value. The game shows its choices only when both are met. If the choice you want is missing, one of them is wrong.

Abnormal statuses

Shizuku can have five kinds of abnormal status. Each has three levels, I, II and III. A stronger level includes the weaker ones. The game gives Possession II by adding Possession I and Possession II, for example. So a man who asks for "Possession I" also accepts II and III.

Status Where the story gives it
Drunk I Forest Door (Map 53)
Drunk II Cabin in the Woods (Map 56)
Drunk III Deep Woods (Map 58)
Possession I Swamp (Map 60)
Possession II Swamp Ruins (Map 64), Inside the Ruins (Map 65)
Possession III Magic Circle in the Swamp (Map 67)
Modification I Research Facility (Map 69)
Modification II Inside Warehouse (Map 71)
Modification III Inside Research Facility (Map 72)
Nursery I The dungeon rooms (Map 82 to Map 88)
Erosion I and II Altar of Darkness (Map 73)
Erosion III The Street boss event (Map 13, event 37)

CommonEvents #668 to #682 add the statuses. The maps above call them.

Some areas check for protective gear. The Forest Door looks for a white or black mask. The Research Facility looks for bandages. If Shizuku wears none, the area gives her the status.

When Shizuku has any of these statuses, the town changes colour (switch #898). Some men and the paid clients only show their choice in that state.

Sleeping

Sleeping in the Shrine Private Room (Map 12, event 6) starts a new day. It removes the Drunk, Possession, Modification and Erosion statuses. It also resets the monster requests, every man's progress, and the self switches. So plan one day at a time: get the status you need, then visit the man.

CommonEvent #482 does this. CommonEvent #483 calls it from the bed.

Sanity Value

The Sanity Value starts at 1000 on a new game (var #402). It falls as Shizuku has more scenes. After each scene, a result screen counts her sexual harassment, prostitution, sex, partners, orgasms, mouth, breast, vagina and pregnancy totals. The game works the Sanity Value out again from those totals. A pregnancy lowers it the most.

CommonEvent #621 does the sums.

A choice may need "a Sanity Value of 600 or less". That means the number on the status panel must be 600 or lower. The scenes that come late in a chain ask for lower numbers. Some ask for 100, 50 or even 1.

How a man works

Most men follow one pattern. A man stands in one place on a map. Press the action button to talk to him. His page 1 notes which stage you are at, and the next pages play the talk.

  • First meeting. One choice opens the scene. It shows only when the status and Sanity Value are right. If you refuse, nothing is lost.
  • Second meeting. Two choices can show. The first plays the same scene again as an H Log scene. The second is the next scene of that man. The next scene needs a stronger status and a lower Sanity Value.
  • Third meeting. The same two choices come back. Choosing one now plays its H Log version.

An H Log scene is the same scene played in the H Log room (Map 10). The game sends Shizuku there, plays the scene, and sends her back to the street.

Each scene has a counter. The counter is 1 after the first play and 2 after the H Log play. The Memories Room gates its entries on these counters, so "count 1" and "count 2" are the two entries that you see for one picture.

After the main story

The main story ends when Shizuku takes the family treasure in the Shrine Private Room (Map 12, event 11). This sets the final episode counter to 7 (var #824). After that, the status panel shows "All events unlocked" and many of the men have a follow-up scene. Those follow-up scenes are the B scenes in the guides. Each one needs a Sanity Value of 100 or less and the matching earlier scene.

From the station you can go back to the original town. If you stay and fill the counters, the bad end plays. See Bad End and Last Boss.

The Memories Room

The Memories Room (Map 91) replays scenes. You enter it from the Shrine Private Room (Map 12, event 7, tile (19, 6)). The game asks "Do you want to go to the memory room?". It says "It seems it can't be used right now..." while Shizuku has the Nursery II status.

Each entry is a stand-in man. An entry opens when its counter is high enough. The game then asks "Do you want to view this H event?" and gives these choices.

  • From event. The game saves your state, moves Shizuku to the place of the scene and plays it live.
  • From scene. The game plays the scene by itself.
  • Close. Nothing happens.

Count 2 entries have only From scene, and they play the H Log version.

The room also has an event at tile (13, 4) that resets Shizuku's virginity or first kiss, and a touch event at tile (26, 4) that returns her to the private room. Returning restores the state that the game saved when you entered.

Map 91, events 84, 143 and 124. The pictures that mark each entry come from a script on event 487.
